PA’s Insane Ammunition Registration Database, Wants All Your Ammo to Have Separate Serial Numbers

Proposed Pennsylvania House Bill 586, introduced on March 20, 2023, proposes significant changes to ammunition regulations that would impact law-abiding gun owners in the state. The bill, which was introduced by 12 state Democrats, including prime sponsor Representative Stephen Kinsey, seeks to give the Commissioner of Pennsylvania State Police and the Secretary of Revenue the power to enforce the new rules and collect a tax on ammunition to fund the changes.

  1. Effectively stop ammunition sales. No boolits, no bangbang.

    Unconstitutional in intent.

Just a bunch of idiots being idiots.

  4. "add individual serial numbers to all ammunition".

My new legislation will require the tide to not come in any more so we can build closer to the water.

  9. well, the first thing they always want to do is tax something. as for the sheer amount of stupid in this state, sometimes I think they give the Left coast a good run for who can be dumber but in the long run it always comes down to one thing- they do not want you to have any AMMO
OR WEAPONS IF THEY GET THEIR WAY.
fuck em. I really think they are pushing for a civil war or upraising so they can declare martial law and just round up all that do not think like they do.
after all it is what most of them want to do to anyone who didn't take the VAX shot or wear a mask just 2 years ago. I guess I will order some more ammo now.

  10. I couldn't fathom the time of putting a serial number on my bullets. I reload so I probably have 4 to 5 gallons of processed pistol brass and about a gallon of 5.56/,223 brass. I shoot about 500 rounds a month and I am a lightweight compared to some of the other shooters that go to that range.

  13. Since alcohol kills far many more folks, I suggest that we serialize each and every ounce of alcohol that is produced in a manner that can be reconstituted from the blood and tissues of any person found harmed by alcohol. All bottles, cans, drinking vessels, and dixie sups will be serialized. In the even that a bottle, can, or other vessel can be used to consume alcohol, the vessel must contain a separate serial number that will transfer from the lip of the vessel to the lips of the consumer, with an incrementing counter to denote the number of times that the vessel contacts the lips of the consumer. There, I have fixed the problem of alcohol caused death and damage.

    1. And Pennsylvania will follow California's lead and station plainclothes cops outside of out-of-state gun shops and stores watching for just that.
