Sometimes you have to take your eyes off the GPS and look out the windshield
KAILUA-KONA (HawaiiNewsNow) - A pair of tourists had a terrifying experience on Saturday evening when their van mistakenly ended up in the Honokohau Small Boat Harbor in Kailua-Kona.
Everyone should pass a GPS test before getting a drivers license. The test is simple. Give every applicant a GPS device at the DMV and ask them to navigate to the next room. Anyone actually using the device fails.
Ship navigation set to gps, runs in to windmill, cuts giant gash into ship....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oai5aFYskyQ&ab_channel=WhatisGoingonWithShipping%3F
One of my granddaughters (by marriage) and her friend who was driving were just about as stupid. They were trying to come to come here to bring something to my wife. It was night and they followed the GPS right past the house, past the end of the pavement (we are next to last house) and into the woods on a dirt path until they got stuck. One would think (operative word) that you should stop when the streetlights, houses, and pavement end.
That actually happened up here a few years ago in a town called Whittier. A tourist drove off the ferry and into the ocean. This is the town where all the people live in one building. JFM
2 Women, of course. Men don't need GPS directions. They have every road in the world memorized.

ReplyDeleteLooked like she was asking if she should get out of the car
ReplyDeleteComplete moron...
ReplyDeleteReminds me of an Office episode where Dwight is following the GPS and drives right down the boat ramp into the water. Very funny.
