Three Tennessee Republican lawmakers call for governor to cancel special session

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — At least three Republican lawmakers in the Tennessee General Assembly are calling on Gov. Bill Lee to cancel the upcoming special session on public safety set for later in August.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Gov. Bill Lee (R-Tennessee) feels confident lawmakers will accomplish something during the special session in August.

“Let’s have a strong conversation,” he said. “Let’s put ideas on the table.”
