Wow, I bet more gun control laws would've stopped this
SOUTHAVEN, Miss. (WMC) - The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) New Orleans Field Division in conjunction with the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) announced on Friday a combined reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those who participated in the burglary of a gun store in Southaven, Mississippi.

Looks like the high-end jewelry store "shoppers' have widened their field.
ReplyDeleteOddly thats the argument they make:
ReplyDeleteIf legal gun owners didn't have guns, where would criminals get them from? Huh? Huh? Riddle me that one?
Burglars just eliminating the middle man, that's all.
DeleteThey're just underprivileged outdoorsmen.
ReplyDeleteSouthhaven is practically a suburb of Memphis so that's a good place to start looking.
ReplyDeleteThat business might be in for a surprise if their insurance policy only covers the loss if the firearms were locked in a safe after hours. Personally, I don't understand why gun stores don't lock up their firearms after hours, other than being too lazy to do so.
ReplyDeleteThey do lock them up per ATF requirements. Did you notice that it took a lot of effort to break into the building and then into the display cases?

"The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives" They left out very large fires. ;-))

Any possibility that the New Orleans Field Division had something to do with the break-in? Might not be a complete waste of time to sit down with photos of their staff and the store video from shortly before the event...
ReplyDeleteLooks like a gun-show loop hole.
