After 6 women found dead, Oregon officials warn against serial killer speculation
PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Portland Police Bureau in Oregon took a strong stance against "online rumors" Sunday, shutting down theories of a potential serial killer after the deaths of six women under the age of 40 within the last three months.

Well if it isn't a seriel killler are there six murderers on loose? If the latter, does that make it better?

ReplyDeleteAfter 6 women in a similar age and demographic? If you think it's one killer, then what are the similarities? If you think it isn't, then what are the differences? It would seem that the reporting wasn't particularly interested in progressing much critical analysis, one way or the other.
ReplyDeleteThe police look like they are all over this case - finally. We can note the urgency of the crimes, because they are no longer arresting people for incorrect pronouns. I do believe the first similarity is they are all dead. The second one is the police have not assigned the death due to COVID, so that makes it quite notable these days.

DeleteClassic journalism as we know it has been dead for a couple of decades. I only had a couple of journalism classes and was on the school paper way back in Jr, High, had a couple of good speech classes in HS and the community college before Ed went to shit.

They were white, and they weren't trans women, so it doesn't count.
