So I fail to see the issue here

  1. There are a number of countries that have "official" languages. Some, more than one and a few with none, including the UK, where English was invented, and the USA. There are a number of countries that do have English as the "official" language that one wouldn't expect.

    to continue in another language, hang up and move to a country that speaks that language
