The bill comes shortly after U.S. Department of Interior Secretary Deb Haaland’s recent restrictions on drilling and mining on public land in northwest New Mexico. Rep. Juan Ciscomani, R-Ariz., views this as a threat to his home state, where copper mining is a leading industry, largely conducted on public and indigenous land.
My eldest step-son used to drive flatbed semi trucks. A lot of his loads were hauling copper from Arizona to other places, usually in the NE US. He hated the Pennsylvania Turnpike and also being routed through NYC.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Richard Adkerson will contribute scads of $$$ from FCX in support.
ReplyDeleteMining anything is bad for the planet, so we'll only allow China to do it: they pay us to keep this 'save the planet' scam going.
ReplyDeleteJust start mining all the landfills. The amount of copper, and any other metal, is higher per ton and we already know where all of them are.
ReplyDelete"higher per ton" my left buttcheek. Ore is ore because it's a high percentage of metals, yes. But landfill is shitty ore for any metal, and always will be. In part because it is and "ore" for *any* metal.
DeleteStop buying the libtards lies. (Yeah, this is one of them. Yeah, out can be hard to tell sometimes.)
