Dory, a German shepherd dog, fell from a cliff in Ecola State Park near Cannon Beach at around 7 p.m. Wednesday. A helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Astoria was dispatched to rescue the injured dog.
The dog fell more than 300 feet down a nearly vertical cliff from a hiking trail in the park, according to a Twitter thread from USCGPacificNorthwest.

Huh. Just goes ta show ya, not everybody on the west side of Oregon is a cunt. Just most of 'em I guess.
ReplyDeleteGreat story and wonderful job by the CG. BUT, I couldn't help but notice the faggy rainbow crap on her collar...that shit is everywhere!
ReplyDeleteYou can't assume every rainbow is about gay shit. My dog Legal Lucy wore a rainbow collar for a while.
DeleteWirecutter,
DeleteThat’s because she’s color-blind!
I definitely prefer the biblical reference over what the highjacked, degenerate rainbow represents.

The title Hero is overused today, but Coast Guard Rescue Swimmers are about as close to the real deal as you can get.
ReplyDeleteJust an FYI, haven't heard much about it, but in the last few weeks, 2 police K9s have died, left in a police vehicle, unattended. Fuck the police. Makes me angry that I have to agree on any issue with the left, even for different reasons.
ReplyDeleteI spent 21 years in the CG. So proud of these guys when I see a story like this.
ReplyDeleteI hope you saw some of the rescues on Deadliest Catch.
DeleteThere's nothing like hanging in a basket in almost hurricane force winds in a Bearing Sea winter. Especially when the pilot is up against a cliff face, concerned about the closeness of the rotor blades to the cliff. Then they'll tell you it's all in a day's work.
Those men and women are something else.
