Bowe Bergdahl's conviction vacated by federal judge

Former U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who was court-martialed for desertion during his tour of Afghanistan, had his conviction vacated on Tuesday by a federal judge, who said a military judge had failed to disclose a potential conflict of interest.

  1. Please explain why a civilian court has anything to do with a military trial? Retry the bastard if it stands.

  4. What is not mentioned is "did the military judge get the admin position" and "why does the Walton have the military retry Bergdahl with a different military judge." This sounds like Walton wants to force his view vs the military's view and since Bergdahl was in the military it should be a military decision.

  5. Deserted during war time. Should've been handled in country. Up against the exterior wall of a fine mud hut, 12rds 5.56, problem solved.
How many people were killed and wounded looking for his worthless ass?
New trial, with maximum penalties imposed upon guilty verdict. I'd even be willing to hold one of the shooter thingies. They'll have to loan me one, lost mine when my canoe rolled over on Snake.
Seems like the family is located in the Sun Valley area, if I recall correctly. Libtard land.

  7. @Greg
He needs to be tried by the soldiers who were in Afghanistan when he went walk-a-bout. All missions were halted to look for this scumbag.

You, cato are correct. Your list of examples is spot on, but abbreviated.

  11. I remember the touching scene when Obama had Bergdahl's parents at the WH. Someone remarked she looked like Stands With Fist and the father like Willie Nelson's ball sack and you know what? They were right.

  14. This is beyond insulting to the six soldiers that lost their lives looking for this POS, to every vet that served honorably, especially those that faced fear under fire and overcame it, and all the rest that ever lost their lives defending their brothers in arms.

Not to mention, since when does a civilian court have jurisdiction over military matters.
