When my brother and I were kids, a local man escaped from the State Penitentiary and my brother had me convinced that the con would show up at our house out here on the farm. He'd hide upstairs behind a wall when I went up to bed and then jump out and scare the pants off of me damn him. I miss him. Gone 43 years ago.
My older brother has nine years on me. He did some of the damndest things to me. However, any of the older boys mess with me their ass was grass. He once said something like yer my brother and I get to mess you up. Nobody else gets do that. With that he probably picked me up and threw me off the dock er some shit. He's 83 and not in great health now. He would probably still try to throw me off the dock. Hell, I'd probably let him.
My brother and I always bickered and fought with each other, and were a general pita to each other. He died 19 years ago, on the job. Last thing he told me, on the phone the day before, was "love you, brother". I miss him sooo much!

ReplyDeleteOkay. Brother or not, that right there is a perfect example of a "He needed killing" offense.
