‘Crime in Tennessee’ TBI report: State sees double-digit drop in murder

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has released its annual report detailing the volume and nature of crime across the state.

The “Crime in Tennessee” report compiles data submitted to the TBI through the Tennessee Incident-Based Reporting System (TIBRS), which collects information on 24 crime categories made up of 54 specific offenses.

So much for the Left's mantra of the streets being awash in blood if they legalize permitless carry, huh? I wonder if Every Town For Gun Safety or Gabby Giffords is going to publish this?

  1. Now that the dems aren't actively encouraging violence and mayhem, you'd expect to see a bit of decrease, especially from the juveniles. Didn't read the details, but I'm betting that Memphis is still the epicenter of the remaining crimes.

    1. Not so surprisingly the big cities are the source of a high percentage of homicides

  4. If you actually look at the report (and the 3 years of yearly data) you'd conclude that this is all, or mostly, random variation. Need more year by year data to be sure, but....ehh, it's nice but it's not convincing that this is anything other than the usual variability.

  5. Here's what Memphis/Shelby County will admit to. Whatever .gov will admit to, you can bet it's worse than reported.
