Mine was a 74 station wagon. I had to keep a case of Quaker State in the back and a change of plugs because it was always fouling them. No other piece of junk do I have such fond memories of and wish I had back.
Had a buddy that had a Vega with a 4 barrel 350 V8 conversion, it was great going straight but useless on a road with curves. Goo wrapped it around an oak tree late one night...... JD

I’m guessing the gas price at the pump was really low?

I doubt the owners have them for gas mileage.
DeleteI think the white one is a Vega. I had a 72 Vega Van. Had a lot of fun in that car but it was an oil burning piece of shit. Eod1sg Ret
ReplyDeleteHa, another satisfied Vega owner. Had a 73 oil burner myself, 1 qt every 100 miles.

DeleteBlue one looks like a Nova, somewhere around the same vintage.
DeleteI think it's a Vega, but they not only cut up the hood, but cut the center out of the bumper to fit in a larger radiator.
DeleteCan the drivers see the road ahead of them with those modifications.
They'll pass anything on the road, except a gas station.
ReplyDeleteThose were the days.
ReplyDeleteHappiness is, in fact, belt driven or belt fed.
ReplyDeleteGot the rainbow stripe on the blue one back before it meant anything.
