Key California Assembly committee blocks bill to make child trafficking a 'serious felony'
SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
California lawmakers in the Assembly Public Safety Committee on Tuesday blocked a measure that would have classified human trafficking of a minor as a serious felony under state law, an effort that attempted to keep repeat offenders behind bars and make them ineligible to be released from prison early.

ReplyDeleteThe democrats have a simple plan. If the GOP wants it, deny it. If the GOP hates it, make it law. How detrimental to this country does not make a difference.
ReplyDeleteI assumed that child trafficking; well, all human trafficking, had been a serious felony since at least 1865.

I have been accused of being ignorant more than once in my life, but how is trafficking any human not already a serious felony? Making another law won't help when our government won't enforce the first one.
