Key California Assembly committee blocks bill to make child trafficking a 'serious felony'

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — California lawmakers in the Assembly Public Safety Committee on Tuesday blocked a measure that would have classified human trafficking of a minor as a serious felony under state law, an effort that attempted to keep repeat offenders behind bars and make them ineligible to be released from prison early.

  2. This lefislative action by progressive California friends of Epstein & Weinstein politicians is predicable, and the Hollywood denizens are currently doing fist pumps on the picket line

  3. The democrats have a simple plan. If the GOP wants it, deny it. If the GOP hates it, make it law. How detrimental to this country does not make a difference.

  4. I assumed that child trafficking; well, all human trafficking, had been a serious felony since at least 1865.

  5. Of course not, they aren't going to create laws against things that they love to participate in

  6. I have been accused of being ignorant more than once in my life, but how is trafficking any human not already a serious felony? Making another law won't help when our government won't enforce the first one.
