Laws are for subjects, not rulers

Boston City Councilor Kendra Lara was driving at least 53 miles per hour on Centre Street in Jamaica Plain when she crashed an unregistered, uninsured car into the front of a house on a Friday afternoon last month, according to police documents obtained by the Globe Wednesday.

The report also revealed that Lara has not had a valid Massachusetts driver’s license since 2013, when it was suspended after she failed to pay a fine for not wearing a seatbelt.

  2. Black & female. Never mind. Oh, and Boston. Big surprise. I bet she was on phone or, more likely, high.

  3. And as long as she stays in Suffolk Country and the City of Boston, she's safe from consequences.
For the exact same reason, I NEVER drive into Suffolk Country or the City of Boston.

  4. Look at all the money she saved with no registration, insurance or license over all those years.

  5. This should surprise no one. MA is one of the original lets elect another Demonrat political grifter who thinks the law doesn't and shouldn't apply to them.

Four or five of the last seven or eight MA Speaker's of the House are doing or have done time for corruption. That should tell you all you need to know.

I'm actually surprised this article appeared in the Globe, commie rag and defender of all things Demonrat that it is.

    2. The only reason the Globe ran the story was because the Herald, and Howie Carr's radio show played it up in a big way and it couldn't be ignored. There actually MAY be some consequences for her to face, but I wouldn't put book on it.

  7. Breaking the law used to be a reason for a politician to step down.
