Meshak Moore had planned on staying at a property on the 2300 block of Vasanta Way from Aug. 24, 2015 through Oct. 22, 2015, but left after four weeks after repeatedly being bitten across the entirety of his body by bedbugs that had infested the property, according to court documents provided by his lawyer.

The article says he discovered the infestation after 'several sleepless nights', yet he stayed for a month?
If I'd been bitten that badly, no matter what I thought was the cause, I'd have been out of there after the first night.
Brit experiences buggery in bed
ReplyDeleteFrom their name, at least it's unlikely they were a priest :)
DeleteExactly, who the hell stays at a place where he's getting eaten up by bugs ????
ReplyDeleteJD
Hey, he smelled the $$$$$. $375K ain’t chicken feed. Ken is right, though; I’d have GTFOD after first bite.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they were his....
ReplyDeleteMy adult children tell me that we stayed in a bed bug infested hotel room once. They claim that I was so pissed that I threw the mattress and sheets into the pool. I then apparently unloaded on the dot-head (yeah, you know who I’m talking about, their idea of cleanliness is based on the slums of Mumbai) and promptly left. I have zero recollection of this but I know me. Yeah, I probably did it. They were horrified back then but find it very funny now, even the grandkids can relate to my supposed reaction.
ReplyDeleteI'm assuming you're talking about a chain that smells like Curry in Mumbai? Th we y own all motels 8s in the universe.
Deletenuke the site from orbit, only way to be sure
ReplyDeleteI can attest that the experience is confusing and maddening. It is very hard to tell the difference between mosquitoes bites. I myself returned to a property a few times before figuring out it was bedbugs. By then I had brought them home. It was a few months before both properties had been fully eradicated. That being said I don't believe the property owners to be negligent. Bedbugs are horribly deceptive, and they can be brought in by any visitor unknowingly.
ReplyDeletePro-tip... mask off the affected room and rent a special space heater and bring the room to 220 degrees for 12 hours. That is the only chemical free way to kill them all once and for good eggs and all.
