DALY CITY, Calif. (KGO) -- A Bay Area man is devastated to learn the prosthetic foot he was crafting for a one-legged eagle in Pennsylvania won't be put to use. The golden eagle named Aura was put down at the order of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

ReplyDeleteTypical example of too much government. The excessive exercise of power by government "officials" is exactly what the Founders knew would happen, given the propensity of most to abuse power.
ReplyDeleteThen again, why didn't the people running that sanctuary contest the ruling instead of complying instantly with such an unnecessary order? Government officials lie to The People all the time, why not lie to them and say it's done, while keeping the bird healthy and out of sight of the gov't long enough for the prosthetics guy to finish his work?
Sense? An agency of the federal government?

DeleteIf the bird is healthy then this should be considered animal cruelty and the order not complied with. All the more reason why government needs to be severely restricted and reduced to a powerless entity.

I expect a POS bureaucrat to be a POS. But why in the world, when they had a guy contracted, did they not tell said POS to go eff himself? They carried out the diktat the same day?
