Commentary: Red China’s Electric Vehicle Invasion of America

Chinese Communist Party (CCP) electric vehicles (EVs) manufactured in Red China are now for sale in the U.S. They are Buick’s Envision and Sweden’s Polestar 2, with Lincoln Nautilus soon to follow. Many more Red Chinese EV brands are coming. Waiting in the wings to begin export to the U.S. are BYD Co., Li Auto, Xpeng Motors, Nio Inc., and Geely.

  1. No sympathy for jobs the UAW is going to lose. The UAW blindly finances every commie and every commie cause. They voted for Biden. They voted for Obama.

  2. While we are using AI for games, China is running AI on its 5G base stations to optimize its already heavily automated factories and transportation systems. China has 80% of all the 5G base stations in the world. 80% !!!!!!! It has the largest automobile market in the world, twice the size of the US market. It makes twice as many cars and trucks as we do. And it is the largest automobile exporter in the world. It has taken over many of the European car factories in Russia that the EU abandoned when sanctions were imposed on Russia.

China is in the middle of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which will increase its efficiency and costs advantages to levels that are insurmountable. They half one-third of the manufacturing capacity in the world, and they are headed to one-half.

    E. g., At their new AI/5G optimized/automated container port, they can unload a large container ship in 45 minutes. In the US ports, it takes one to two DAYS to unload a similar ship.

    1. China is also in the midst of a population disaster with an imbalance of old/young and no improvement on the horizon because the young, child-bearing age population does not want children. They also have a completely imbalanced infrastructure with expensive improvements in the cities and medieval living conditions in the rural areas. Their economy is completely dependent on foreign trade and internally, it is based on the sale and re-sale of empty apartments in ghost cities. Recent flooding is caused by lack of appropriate, and in many cases any storm water handling capacity. Having said that, I wish our own ruling class recognized American economic problems because they could be rectified with proper trade and immigration policies/program as well as minor restructuring of our educational and business establishments. (When I say "minor," I mean wholesale expulsion of most of the current drop of teachers, administrators and C Suite occupants and their replacement with competent and patriotic Americans.) It's not that America is not in dire straits, but our global competition is in no better shape, and in many respects, even worse.

    2. In North America there are powerful unions fighting automation tooth and nail. We just went through it in Canada, at our busiest port in Vancouver. One of the main issues for the highly paid (they're making on average well over $150k a year apparently) workers was "don't you dare replace us with automation."

It IS going to happen, to them and everybody else. It's just taking longer here. In China, for better or worse when they decide to do something, that shit gets done.

    3. China is in the beginning of a famine. Half their young people can't get jobs, and there are whole fields of electric cars that they've built, but can't sell. Worrying about China is like worrying about the guy on the street corner yelling about how he's really a billionaire and is gonna buy your town and throw you out.

  6. How to bypass unions:

Start another company that produces exactly what you make, or do. But, it is non union. Have that company bid lower for same contract. Apply to scale. Everthing is also a "cartel." Work together to make profits and keep competition out.

  7. You realize above that China fixes all these problems, over population, food, not enough women, by going to war with the west? We are in no way ready for that. I think it is coming. Soon.
