Looks like it's gone full circle from Tide to Borax

(NEXSTAR) — Yet another new, unsafe trend is catching attention.

This time, some TikTok users are encouraging viewers to add borax to their water, claiming the common cleaning product can help reduce inflammation and joint pain, or even “detoxify” the body. As you may have guessed, health officials are warning of the consequences the trend could have on your health.

  3. I use borax to get rid of ants. 5 parts sugar, one part borax, mix with a little water. Put in empty water bottle with holes drilled in so the ants can climb in, and not harm other wildlife.
I put them around my house when there's an infestation, and ants are gone in two days or less.

  4. I’ve been adding borax to my daily drinking water for 2 years now with no issues. Yes it does help arthritis. Research it yourself. Also consider the source that is denigrating it’s use. These were the same one’s saying “safe and effective” like you inhale and exhale.

    1. Same here. In addition to keeping my joints alive boron supplementation has certain other effects that have been good for my love life. I’m not gobbling Tide Pod quantities, maybe a gram dissolved in drinking water over the course of a week.

as with everything balance and moderation. Anything and Everything can be harmful if overdone.
The article only cites "Dr.Rose" with zero references. WhoTF is he and why should I listen to him. This article is meant to push a narrative and confuse the lay person.

    4. 6years for me, wouldn't be without it... If I forget to take it daily in about 3days I'm all stoved up and can't move. I out a heaping tablespoon in a quart jar add hot water and mix. Daily dose is a tablespoon from the jar mixed in water that I sip throughout the day.

    3. Boron, which is in virtually every mineral supplement, is en essential mineral { I just read it on the label of Solaray Mega Multi Mineral }. Above, ColdSoldier is correct, it is great for arthritis & bone health. If you bypass the excuses we now have for "Doctors" & read up on Boron in REAL websites who care about your health instead of which drug company is bribing them, you will find this out for yourself. The present " Medical Care System " will soon disappear with the soon-to-be introduced MedBeds, advanced machines they have had for 50+ years they have hidden from us. They will heal every problem, and, fortunately for Kenny, even mental issues.

  6. Borax (or any source of absorbable boron, I use supplement gel caps) is proven to help with certain types of joint pain. The lethal dose of borax is approximately the same as table salt. TPTB don't want you to be healthy.
