Nighty night, don't let the bed bugs bite

Officials in Fulton County, Georgia, agreed to a $4 million settlement with the family of a man who died in a bed bug-infested jail cell last year.

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners voted 6-0 to approve the $4 million settlement related to LaShawn Thompson during a meeting on Wednesday, a Fulton County spokesperson confirmed.

Thompson, 35, died in the Fulton County Jail on Sept. 13, 2022. Attorneys for his family claimed Thompson was "eaten alive by bed bugs."

  2. I've heard of a few excons complain their cells were "bugged', but they just thought it was the guards gettin' their jollies from hearing their bunkie's moans of delight.

  3. If I'm the judge, I'm putting the people responsible in there for a while. And if they couldn't solve the problem, no problem letting them spend another night every few weeks, till they figure it out.

  4. Atlanta as a whole is a cesspool but the pictures of the jail they've shown for months are a whole 'nother level of nasty.
