Shitting in their own nest

SACRAMENTO — Police are investigating millions of dollars in damage done to a major downtown Sacramento development.

The A.J. apartment complex was supposed to be the first residential building in the Railyards. Now it's delayed indefinitely.

The 345-unit residence includes affordable housing units and some dedicated to the homeless seeking permanent housing.

  2. Either future occupants or people from the surrounding neighborhoods that don't want a project building coming into their neighborhood! I completely understand.

    1. Section 8 housing. Per the Kenyan, Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing. They bribe local governments with federal money put these future tenements up, local governments start to wonder why so few are paying the property taxes . . . . . . and why they have to hire more popo because yoots.

  4. "We're looking for folks that want to live in an urban environment, folks who want to live downtown." Sounds like what they're looking for are 15 minute city test subjects.

  5. In a town next to the city I used lived in the town "revitalized" an old school for low income people and did a big write up in the paper. These people were paying next to nothing to live in the apartments that were much nicer than what I was paying for. They of course used federal money (our tax dollars) to rehab the structure. Anyway, a comment from a woman who moved in and was on "disability" along with her daughter who was also on disability stated "Just because we're poor doesn't mean we don't deserve to live nice." I asked a couple of my coworkers what they thought about this comment and only one understood what the witch was saying. -sammy

    1. Socialism in a nutshell.
Why should _I_ have to work for what I want?
Thats what it boils down to, IMO.... working is hard, thats why stuff has value. If it takes hard work to acquire stuff, stuff has the value of that hard work. If everyone can get everything without having to work for it, stuff no longer has value.

  6. Somebody knows something. If these “homeless” people really want to move in, they better start speaking up.

  8. It will turn to shit...that is a fact. There was a 21 bldg HUD complex in the city I worked as a police officer. 20 units per bldg, three swimming pools, two playgrounds (and I mean AWESOME playground, the kind you would see in an expensive apartment complex), HUGE on site laundry facility, clubhouse, etc. No amount of money was spared. It was a shithole that underwent a MAJOR renovation. Every bldg was gutted and new windows, doors, appliances, AC, etc. New grass everywhere with sprinklers, and the place looked amazing. It could have been in photos of a brochure for upscale living apartments. Within two years, the place was WORSE than before. The appliances were stolen and sold for pennies, the windows smashed, the grass killed, the playground torn up, new AC units torn out and sold off, it was worse than before the renovation. Before the renovation, the appliances and all the other stuff were not worth ripping out and selling, but at least worked. But after, all that new and nice stuff was fruit for the picking. Anyway, not long after it all turned to crap, a hurricane hit, and it was decided they were not going to spend millions again just to see the place end up the same. So, they evicted everyone, under the guise of hurricane damage and unlivable conditions, demolished it all, and sold the land. The neighborhood underwent "gentrification" and now high end townhomes sit there, white people dominate and the place still looks great. And what is the lesson here? Gee, I wonder what it is the lesson.

  10. I’m willing to bet that it’s kids that did this…homeless folk ain’t got the energy it takes to seriously fuck up an entire structure. This used to happen repeatedly at the University where I worked and every time it was young, white kids. Just sayin…
