Sure, lots of pedestrians take naps under semi trailers
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – An unidentified pedestrian has died in Nashville after he was run over by a tractor-trailer after he reportedly fell asleep on the tractor’s axles early Saturday morning.
The Metro Nashville Police Department said the tractor-trailer was parked along a curb behind the Shell gas station and travel center in the 600 block of Fesslers Lane on Saturday, Aug. 19.
It was 4 am, and the guy was between the rear axles on the tractor. Even if the driver made his inspection with a strong flashlight, it's unlikely that he could see anything past the dual tires but shadows.

No pretrip inspection
ReplyDeleteYeah, you should always walk around your truck. Even after a short stop, bathroom break, etc. I'm not sure the driver won't be at fault.
