Commentary: McConnell, It’s Time to Resign

When asked on Wednesday whether he planned to run for reelection in 2026, Mitch McConnell did not answer. Except that he did. The 81-year-old’s half minute of almost catatonic silence served as a loud “no.”

  1. Control Freaks get into politics because they are addicted to the power over millions and they ain't gonna give that rush up easily. Incidentally, the back hand brown envelopes ain't bad either. Joe Bite me is a great example.

  2. Except the Democrat Governor gets to appoint his replacement. How does that play out in the Senate?

    1. It happens because Democrats are more obsessed and more clever than Republicans or their Deep State fellow club members are giving them the "wink & nod" pass. Either way it's not just the Democrats, it's all Politicans fucking Americans.

    2. I don't disagree. Just degrees of suckage. Do you want the Democrats to have a majority in the Senate? I'll give McConnell credit. He got a conservative-leaning majority on the USSC. Imagine the carnage if Hillary got 3 picks.

  3. Then a democratic governor will appoint a democratic sub serving possibly till 2026. Not a good idea. Better to have a zombie McConnell. Democrats showed how to do it with Joe, Ruth and Dianne.

  4. The only problem is that KY is a DEM Gov, and he will just appoint another DEM Senator!

  5. China mitch is consumed with power being minority speaker of the senate. He will be dead two weeks before he gives up that power. His incompetence is only superseded by pedo joe. When mitch kicks the bucket, I hope for the sake of this country texas senator Cornyn is not his replacement. Otherwise it will be more of the same.

  6. The KY legislature changed the law to preclude the Dem governor from doing that.
The legislaure gives three names to the Governor who then picks one of them.

  7. You cannot imagine what kind of liberal Jack shit replacement we will get. The last 3 Dem candidates for Senate were crushed, and it will probably be one of them. If you think the Dems would allow a Republican Gov to replace a Dem with a Republican you are crazy. Ky politics only beat by Louisiana for corruption. Rand Paul may be the exception.

  8. Add Diane Feinstein, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Joe Biden, and Kamala Harris to that list and it’s a deal.
