Fucking buzzkills

In an effort to crack down on Halloween pranks, the city of Beverly Hills has officially banned the personal possession of some favorite tools of late night vandals.

During a Tuesday council meeting, the Beverly Hills City Council voted 5-0 to adopt a new ordinance that prohibits the possession of Silly String, “hair removal products” and shaving cream on Halloween.

  1. Idiots! Shaving cream and silly string are harmless, although silly string needs to be cleaned up. Eggs, which they didn’t prohibit, causes damage to car finishes and is difficult to clean, especially if it dries. And toilet paper makes a mess, especially if it rains, but they didn’t prohibit it.

  2. Guns, knives, molotovs, and crowbars are still okay.
    So have fun, kids!

  3. Maybe they'll put a special 20% tax on those dangerous products to cut down on shaving cream violence.

  4. Those items are illegal unless shoplifted?

  5. Silly String implies the existence of Serious String which is what Silly String becomes when it meets Police cameras and license tag readers. I mean, that''s what I've read anyway.

    1. Det Cord is Serious String. Fun things can be done with Det Cord, so they tell me.

    2. My brother was in Vietnam in the 60's and they would tie det cord to prisoners necks and if one tried to run off, they'd pop all their heads off...

  6. When I was a kid, we figured out that the fly swatters available at the general store in town were made of a stiff plastic tube that was absolutely perfect as a pea shooter if you just popped off the swatter and hanger loop thing at the ends. Then you get a big box of Smith's whole dried peas and you're in business, total investment about a buck. It was awesome!

Before long Mrs. Burnham, who ran the store, realized what was going on and every Halloween week afterward the flyswatters and whole peas would disappear from the shelves for a while.

    Talk about a buzzkill.

  7. Beverly Hills has 3 decorative public fountains.
I heartily encourage dosing all of them with non-prohibited laundry detergent.
    Suds are awesome!
