Drugs are bad, mmmkay?

Cleveland, Texas - Cleveland ISD confirmed that Wednesday morning a student overdosed on drugs at the high school. This marks the 15th drug incident of the school year in the district. They say in 8 of those cases an ambulance was called out to the school and in 4 cases, the student required Narcan.

*****

FIFTEEN overdoses at one school in one year? Shit, during my entire 3 years at Kaiserslautern American High School in Germany, we had a grand total of two overdoses - one of which was me.
Good times.

    1. That should be "Don't Austin my Houston." Because it's Austin that's the issue, not Florida (where mose of the Florida Men (and Women) are from Damned Yankee Land.

  2. There is a slight misunderstanding about this.
Texas is a testing ground to make sure that the drugs brought in by Joe's future voters are worth transporting deeper into the country. Why waste fuel driving drugs up north if the quality is not good? Don't waste gas, save the planet.

  5. When I was in 10th grade ( 1973-1974) it seemed like an ambulance was taking someone away at least one a week. Thinking back on it, I'm pretty sure they weren't all "od's" . Most of them were probably just stoned on barbs of some kind, and the school was playing it safe if they found someone so stoned they didn't know their own name.
There were a lot of drugs floating around from mom and dads medicine cabinet in those days.

  6. Back in my high school days, we had one student who died from exposure while camping in Utah desert and one who died of leukemia. Class of 900, 2 dead of natural causes. That's it.

  7. My hometown, my high school. Sure has changed a lot since I graduated in 1980. Houston is 45 miles away, and we didn't consider ourselves a suburb. We had only one Latino student in the entire high school. Now, there's a massive illegal immigrant city in what used to be the tiny village of Plum Grove nearby. I drove through that place one day several years ago and it was like the world's largest, shittiest trailer park.

  8. Overdoses in my high school would be a senior girl saying she was so depressed she went home yesterday and too 4 aspirin at once.

  10. Cleveland ISD is taking in all the illegal alien kids from the growing Colonia known as Colony Ridge just to the east of Plum Grove, TX. It's in Liberty County, one north of Harris County.

I'm sure those drug ODs are a symptom of the other illegal stuff going on there.
