The average price of a gallon of regular unleaded fell to $5.83 on Saturday, down from $6.08 a week ago, according to AAA.

Don't get giddy, California. It's just going to go up again because that's what gas in California does. And with the war in the Middle East right now? The official narrative from Newsom will be 'supplies were interrupted'. And then of course there's the regularly scheduled fires at the Richmond and Martinez refineries.....
It's between $3.29 and $3.35 a gallon here today according to gasbuddy.com. I paid $3.31 when I topped off my vehicles and filled a few gas cans Saturday, kissing a hundred dollar bill goodbye.
I figured I'd better get it while I can because I can see the prices blowing up here too with the whole Israel/Hamas thing going on. If I need it, I got it and if I don't need it... well, I've still got it. It'll get used.
ReplyDeleteThe folks are lining up here at the pumps this morning in North Carolina. Maybe Joe will release some petrol from the National reserves. OOPs. what reserves?
Why worry about war in the middle east?
ReplyDeleteDon't we have our own oil?
Oops..........
$2.99 here yesterday
DeleteRemember, It's always brightest before the dark
DeleteI don't know who wrote this article, gas is not going down in price but is going up in price. At least it is here in Madera California.
ReplyDeleteIt was down to $2.97/gal at Circle-K here in Charleston.
DeleteI'll be buying gasoline this afternoon for the truck along with the gas can for the mower...
ReplyDeleteJD
I am in the process of selling my house in NE Atlanta. Costco regular is $2.98, at Circle K Diesel is $3.73. Those are the lowest fuel prices in 25 miles of the house. I have made 7 trips to my cottage in western NC carrying boxed up excess household items. It has been $75 in Diesel for every trip.
ReplyDeleteDiesel in California is over six bucks a gallon. On average it's around $6.29 a gallon.
DeleteThat means you'd be paying at least $50 more per trip to flee CA. Pretty amazing, eh?
May the Lord bless both you and the North Carolina cottage.
I continuously rotate the gas in my shed into my vehicles. I have mumble mumble mumble gallons in 5 gal cans. when I get 5-6 empty, I go fill 'em up.
ReplyDeleteWow! What a life!
DeleteIt beats the shit out of doing without. Right after we first moved here, a pipeline in Alabama blew up and you couldn't find a gas station open in Macon County for damned near a week, and I had an eighth of a tank in both vehicles. I learned 2 lessons that day - #1 don't let my vehicles get below 3/4 of a tank, and #2, store gas at home.
DeleteDoes anyone remember when Trump was president and whenever bad shit happened in the Middle East it had no affect on the prices or availability on fuel here. Oh the good old days!
DeleteNope. I remember how he shuttered the economy. For the flu. That did cause gasoline prices to plummet. But at the cost of destroying the economy, perhaps to never recover.
Delete15 days to slow the spread! Thanks bone spurs
I remember how he listened to the "experts" in CDC FDA and big Pharma and bought into their bullshit. Turns out he was scammed, and the commies stole the election before he could reverse course and fix that shit.
DeleteI remember him working to close the border, prosecute and prevent pedophiles, and creating American Energy independence and NOT paying Billions of our tax dollars to moslems and ukranian crooks.
But you enjoy your OrangeManBad TDS.
Ok, you keep Grasshoppering and I will continue to Ant on.
DeleteI see Murphy USA in Lafayette is down another four cents to $3.25 today.
ReplyDeleteKaren's Mini-Market in Penntucky, CA is holding steady at $5.49, the lowest in the county.
That would be a $2.24 premium to live in Gavin's Utopia.
