Tempers rise over concerns of migrant housing in South Shore: 'they shouldn’t be allowed in our neighborhood'

CHICAGO - Illinois District 1 members agree more help is needed on the federal level to address the ongoing migrant crisis.

South Shore’s Paul Robeson theater was packed with residents attending Sunday’s town hall. Topics included housing, health and governmental funding, as well as migrants.

"The immigrants can come to this country, get a stipend, link card, free room and board and some are getting free social security", one resident said.

  5. NIMBY i's human nature stripped of the liberal vertue signalling. I don't want the government to foist bums on me either, but I don't pretend to care about them. Personally i'd make dog food out of all of them all and donate it to animal shelters, zoos and working class Americans with pets.

    1. To add insult to those migrants, throw some pork into the blender when you add a migrant.
