Ungentlemanly Weapons! WWII Secret Agent Special Guns

Special Operations Executive produced a series of ingenious firearms for use in Occupied Europe, including the Welrod and little known Welwand. Described by SOE as 'murder weapons', they were often used to assassinate enemy personnel and collaborators.

    A good book on the subject is “ Churchill's Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare: The Mavericks Who Plotted Hitler's Defeat”. A fun read. A little bit about the quirky Brits behind the weapons, and a bit about the brave people who had to use them - MacArch
