Woman found dead in home believed to have died before bear mauling

DOWNIEVILLE, Calif. — A woman found dead in her home also appears to have been mauled by a bear after dying, the Sierra County Sheriff's Office said.

    Thanks for this. My home is less than thirty miles away as the crow flies and I never heard about this.
    We've got bears here, too.

    Bears like their meat a little on the greenish-black side. Bacteria tenderize the product.
