Judge issues order keeping Confederate memorial at Arlington Cemetery for now

FALLS CHURCH, Va. (AP) — A federal judge on Monday issued a temporary restraining order barring removal of a memorial to Confederate soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery.

A group called Defend Arlington, affiliated with a group called Save Southern Heritage Florida, filed a lawsuit Sunday in federal court in Alexandria, Virginia, seeking the restraining order. A hearing has been scheduled for Wednesday.

  1. Strange news coverage: article on stopping removal of a Memorial to Confederate soldiers, yet the article has no photo of the Memorial statue. WTF?

  2. Why do people want to destroy memorials they serve a purpose of what to do and what not to do

    1. Part of destroying current culture is to destroy all of the history of it, as much as they can anyway. Next up (currently happening) reinvent the history and language so that it favorable to victim groups. Finally, reinvent society into a Godless, amoral, leftist hellhole. I believe that about wraps it up.

  6. All I know is that since the statue of Nathan Bedford Forrest his and his wife's graves have been removed from downtown Memphis, crime has all but disappeared in that town. (eyeroll)
