I was lucky enough to have a 554 acre dog park (that doubled as a cattle ranch) that helped my cow dogs expend their energy. I figured every two or three day visit to the ranch they ran between 25 to 30 miles. Then we'd head home where they'd eat and sleep for a couple of days, after which they were ready for another 25 to 30 miles at the ranch.
They're favorite run was to the pond in the summertime. Good times.
Peek a boo you can't see me behind this little stick. Cute
ReplyDeleteHigh maintenance, but wonderful dogs if you keep them busy enough to wear them out regularly.
ReplyDeletePro Tip- Never own a dog that's smarter than you are.
Hell, guess I better stick with hot dogs.
DeleteMy first dog was a Border Collie. Back in the late 80s when I was young and energetic. He would wear me out then go do laps around the house.
