As more than 60,000 people wander around aimlessly staring at their phones wondering why they were betrayed...

At&T, Verizon and T-Mobile users reported early Thursday that they are having network issues nationwide and in Canada.

The issue has left AT&T iPhone users stuck in SOS mode, meaning that users can only make calls to emergency services.

  3. Weakening magnetic field and 2 notable solar flares last night… but I’m sure that has nothing to do with it.

  6. Mom got rid of her landline last year because of the expense, and turned around and got a second cellphone "in case of emergencies." Won't listen to her kids, but will take as gospel whatever the Verizon salesman tells her. 🙄

  10. A beaver probably chewed a fiber optic cable.

Happens more times than you would think it would, especially of the thought never crossed your mind before.

  11. IMHO, This is/was a dry run by Chinese or Russian hackers to see how/if they could take down the phone network. Combined with some of the massive internet outages that we've experienced over the last couple years, this is probably part of some plan to cripple communications in the run up to and during the initial phases of an invasion somewhere or it could be our own .gov testing the same stuff for when they declare Martial Law.

The next question is when either one is going to happen.

  13. Sounds more like a test or cyber message sent. But it came back on too soon. Wonder what the kiddies will do when it doesn't for real?

  14. The highest number repor reported was "90,000" subscribers....the actual number was closer to 90 million. AND there was a cyber attack on pharmacy chains as well. China and Russia have both said they would hack us soon. But at least we have pronouns.

  15. It wan mostly ATT. Verizon and T-mobile stated their systems did not go down. But, Verizon customers would have had a rough time calling the phones on he other networks.
