When my cousin turned 90, we had a party for her at the local steakhouse. After all the candles were lit the owner who is a local volunteer fireman came out in this fire fighting coat and hat holding a fire extinguisher. She managed to blow out the candles with an assist from two of her grandkids but not the fire extinguisher.

ReplyDeleteIs that a tumbler of Grey Goose by her right arm?
ReplyDeleteI certainly hope so.
Delete91 years ago there would have been a real cake on a real cake stand, not three eclairs on a paper plate.
ReplyDeleteI see her thinking "I wait 101 years and I get this pile of grocery store crap instead of a birthday cake made from scratch."
ReplyDeleteShe's lookin' good for 101. Go, grams
