Cops in Alabama handcuffed a man so tightly and for so long that he had to have his left hand amputated, according to a lawsuit that is set to go to trial in federal court in April.
It's almost a cliche. You see it all the times in the movies or on TV. "they're new handcuffs, they'll stretch a bit". Asshole cops being cute cause they saw it on TV. Of course, they're above the law or a bit of compassion. I used to respect cops. Almost all, brown shirts of Nazi Germany in disguise.

They make lil rubber bands that do the job even better. Cheap too. I bought a bag and gave them to my daughter's boyfriend for Christmas.
