That's fucked up

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE/Gray News) - A dog named Stanley was euthanized Monday, just hours before he was set to be placed in a foster home.

Proving Animals Are Worth Saving (PAAWS) is an organization that sets rescue animals up in foster homes in Indiana. The organization said Stanley was ready to go, but a lack of communication meant he was put down by Evansville Animal Control before they could hand him back over.

  1. Sad alright. The poor dog was never convicted of any crime except being born. If they'd do that as fast to convicted killers on death row the world would be a better place.

  2. “It’s not animal control’s fault. It’s not the rescue’s fault. It’s this community problem that all the shelters were empty during COVID,” Frazier said.
    What an idiot.

  3. Have you seen the article about all the dogs abandoned at the border by the illegals?
    Apparently, dogs MUST be vetted.

  5. I rescue Great Dane for the last 10 years, we’re down to two at home with my wife and I. People are constantly asking if we’ll take another, I’ve had to say no lately because they’re such short lived dogs. It hurts to lose these wonderful dogs to time. The cost of dog food has climbed steadily, with foods and treats I was spending over $350 a month. Now people are just dumping dogs and cats off in the forest area around here. Wonder what will happen when they can’t feed their kids!

  6. I figured either PETA or Operation Kindness was involved.
