An aside. It seems many of these news stories end with the perp charged with among other things procession of a handgun by a felon. A fact that should show felons have little to no regard for gun laws.
I wonder how many of those charged are convicted and sentenced as a felon in possession of a handgun or if that is the first charged dropped in the plea-barganing. In any case, this information will be used to demand more stringent gun laws for those of us that are not felons in possession of handguns.
