Has anyone seen this ad on yahoo? My guess is it's an ATF sting. https://articsar.com/products/1-set-car-oil-filter-spiral-automotive-tube-car-interior-accessories?
I particularly like the diverse selection; some camo, some black.... any bets on how old the owner is? Or how much time he spent in the military? I'd bet a nickel he drives a loud truck with extra big wheels.
Grips that have a more vertical angle tend to be better for a "elbows tucked" squared up shooting stance. Not the best stance to use, unless you are wearing armor, but a lot of tactical Timmy's like it.
For those that missed the part where this was a max effort sarc, prankulation, go back to remedial humor. On a serious note, if you're gonna investigate and/or shoot something in the dark, you DAMNED sure better be able to identify it first. Read any of those stories of loved ones coming home at night and getting shot by a defender in the dark? "I thought it was a bad guy!!!"
It works in "Escape from Tarkov" blinds everyone you point it at. Reality, it would take a minute or two just to turn them all on, and the weight of those batteries out on the end would be concerning.
The lights he has mounted look like they probably cost more than the weapon itself. just off the top there is a Surefire scout light ( $500-675) Surefire pistol light ($300-350) a couple (3 maybe 4) of MOD lights (pay per part, expect to spend at *least* $600) and a couple Streamlight TRL-1HL ($150-180).
I am a huge advocate for having a *good* weapon light mounted on long guns, and even have a couple of handguns with mounted lights, but aside for intentional derp there ain't no reason for more than one light. Most of our long guns run the TRL-1HL with 'tape' switches, and I have the same light mounted on both my carry pistols without the tape switch. Our shotguns (Saiga 12 and Vepr-12) both run Streamlight Pro-Tac 2.0 lights as they are *much* brighter and easer to change batteries on. Eventually I will probably change all the long guns over to the Pro-Tac series, I just haven't been able to justify that cost yet.
Just because you can doesn't mean you should.
ReplyDeleteBut will it shoot?
ReplyDeletebut can you hold it up?

ReplyDeleteIf you like your weapon a little muzzle-heavy, that's certainly one way to do it.
ReplyDeleteeliminates muzzle climb
DeleteNeed to put yellow filters on all those lights to keep the skeeters away.

ReplyDeleteim thinking that by the time he gets all that crap turned on, his 'target' has gone.
ReplyDeleteor, has killed him and is laughing as he walks away
It should have enough heft to beat someone with it.
ReplyDeleteOther than scopes and red-dots….
ReplyDeleteI might have use for one (1) flashlight on a shotgun.

And it looks to me like a pistol grip a bench toad would use. Way too upright.

how to announce, "here I am, shoot me!" without saying, "here I am, shoot me!"
