The memo cites a recent state ban on the use of public funds for diversity, equity and inclusion programs, activities and policies -- as well as activities for "political or social activism" -- in the public college system. The Florida Board of Governors passed this restriction in January, shortly after the Florida Board of Education passed a similar ban.

ReplyDeleteThe Spook former DEI 6-figure salary administrators are beating the jungle drums about the racist De Santis disrespecting them. Maybe they can get a job at Disney Land, Starbucks or the local Aldis.
ReplyDeleteWe see small steps that are shutting the insanity down. A long way to go but at least the tide appears to be turning. I would not expect all this to go away overnight. I find this ruling encouraging. Now if others will follow suit.

ReplyDeleteThey'll figure a way around it - simply give it a different name. I was at UF in '76. Don't recall it being so off the wall back then. No doubt it is now.
