BAD DOG!!! BAD, BAD, BAD!!!

Students at a Utah middle school staged a walkout to protest their peers who identified as 'furries' - people who dress up in costumes of animals - scratching and biting classmates.

The hours-long protest took place outside Mt. Nebo Middle School in Payson, Utah, on Wednesday. It was triggered by a petition demanding a stricter dress code, with some middle schoolers reported the offending students were physically attacking other people.

  1. Time to play along with their silly game and also adhere to local Bylaws. Have each one sent to the Veterinarian to be spayed or neutered, then send the invoice to the parents for the procedure, as well as a fine for an unleashed pet in a public space.

  2. Wirecutter, those furries we've talked about are reproducing.......

    1. I gotta tell you, I wouldn't mind having a dog that can let himself out to shit. Maybe I can adopt one of these.

    3. Yeah, but you can shoot a dog that pisses you off and nobody will say a word about it.

    4. WC: It has to be more than "pisses you off". Why would I know? Well, I have been questioned (by phone) by the Macon County Animal Control officer because my neighbor has been running up and down the valley and reporting that I am indiscriminately killing her beloved. peaceful dogs. She lets these animals run wild. She told me she watched two pit bulls kill a newly born colt at her barn because she has not the heart to kill a dog for any reason.

I had a long talk with the animal control officer. Under intense cross examination (I can be quite argumentative if called upon), I described a half dozen specific scenarios and was told that in all of these cases - all involving quantifiable threats to my property, my livestock, my wife, and myself - TN law allow me to do what is necessary. But, she was clear, that there had to be a serious and quantifiable threat of injury or loss.

I thanked her for answering my questions and assured her she would never hear another peep out of me, unless she first addressed me to begin the conversation. As for my neighbor, the last time she showed up I told her to leave and that if she showed up again, the sheriff will be at her door.

Sorry for the diatribe, but the rules are the rules. It helps to know the limits.

  3. See what happens when you raise a child to think it can do no wrong?

  4. when one of these idiots shows up saying " I'm a dog " , say to them , "Ok dogs are not allowed on the school grounds." then call the dog pound and have the kid who thinks its a dog hauled off and kept in a kennel until its owner comes and pays all the appropriate fees and licenses.

  5. I was one of those kids in school who was kind to everyone, even volunteering to locker with a guy that people did not like, just so he did not feel bad. I was sort of the guy that even the teachers and administration liked.
However, if someone dressed as a dog bit me or scratched me, I would likely have lost my cool and decked them. A girl or a boy would probably not have made a difference. There is only so much behavior that you have to accept and the longer you accept bad behavior, the more you make it normal. We are now reaping what we have sown by not shutting down the socialists BS in the very beginning. I myself am now the proud great uncle of 2 transgender identifying kids. I should have slapped my sister in the head while she was raising her own kids.

  6. Middle schooler's are going through puberty. They are not capable of logical thoughts and rely on there messed up feelings to make decisions. They bully each other and wear their feelings like a chip on their shoulder. Add to that girls are 2 to 3 years more mature than boys of the same age. Then you have millennials as the clueless parents that are more about blaming something or somebody else than their child that is the problem.

    1. It's almost but not quite entirely like all of those are problems stemming from a lack of morals.

    2. @Tssquared: Indeed, kids that are just getting their feet wet in understanding there is far more to life than school and what their parents told them. Some are rational, some aren't; for me rationality and fore-planning started around fifteen. Most of these kids are probably blissfully unaware of the full effects of their own behavior. Those that want to stay with the furry fandom will likely tone it down as they age. As for me, there is nothing about my appearance that would indicate my association with any political or socio-economic ideologies, fandoms, or social clubs. Anyone that sees me will see someone who is sending very chilled out vibes and rocking a Hawaiian / resort shirt almost all the time.

Millennials aren't clueless parents, we are in our 30s ans 40s now and know how bad our parents screwed us but couldn't do much about it. We refuse continue the mistakes of our parents and Zoomers and Alphas might be the generations to bring real social change. Death will finally wrestle control from the entitled boomer generation that seems hellbent on ruling every other generation until the bitter end.

@Anon April 19, 2024 at 7:29 PM: No, this has nothing to do with morals and I was probably at my pinnacle of morally correct living when I discovered the fandom and started creating art. Uncle Sam though, he was a corrupting influence.

  7. You can't have it both ways.
I would like to see some pissed off parent show up at school and "identify" as the new principal.
Is that any more nuts than thinking you are a cat?

  8. I bet a rolled up magazine across the muzzle will change that behavior right quick.

  9. Identify as = pretend to be.
Whenever you read an article about this kind of thing, substitute the words pretends to be in place of the words identifies as.
"Students at a Utah middle school staged a walkout to protest their peers who pretended to be 'furries'..."

    Stonyground.

  10. If these kids really want to be treated like the animals they are pretending to be, the "parents" better be able to prove they're up on the rabies shots. Don't know about other states, but here in Texas, if a animal without proof of current rabies vaccination bites/scratches you, they go in lock up for 3+ days of observation at the owner's expense. I say do the same for these kids. They want to be an animal, they get treated like one. Actions have consequences.

  12. Starker here,
Not a Furry, that's just overindulged imagination.
Look up Jason "The Horse". He was a guest on Coast to Coast AM, who believed he was a horse in his previous life and still felt like one as a human. It was odd but still interesting, especially if you consider reincarnation to be real. Aside from Jason there is strong evidence for reincarnation.

  13. Yep, this viral incident even made it over here. The kids are doing what kids are going to do and associate with anything they find "cool". The staff haven't been disciplining kids that step out of line and are now surprised when there is a problem. This is my shocked face <(-.-)>. It's Utah, they flip out over anything up there.

Most furries, including myself, don't behave like this, We are also aware our fandom is fantasy, it's supposed to be an escape from this miserable reality. When the next civil war starts, I'll probably have some OwO going on with a Warwolf 108th Awoo Force patch. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. patches are big in eastern Europe, Odinism and Mjölnir hammers were popular in the 03s, as was having JEDI on dog tags. One kid had breath play and gas mask posters all over his room, and another had a legit NAZI flag. Everyone has their own flavor of expression.
