A police pursuit of a stolen vehicle through Hollywood on Thursday night came to an abrupt end as the car, an electric Tesla, ran out of battery in the middle of the road.
I wondered about that too. The article stated the owner told the cops when it was down to one percent charge and I guess they just waited it out. I guess he was able to check his charge remotely with his internet enabled phone.

Did the battery run out of juice or did the cops have Tesla "remote in" to the cars computer and turn it off.
