Instant street creds

A chaotic and violent situation unfolded in downtown Los Angeles early Sunday morning when a man stole an LAPD patrol vehicle with the officer still inside before causing a multi-vehicle pileup.

The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. when, according to police, a female officer was conducting “security detail” at 12th and Figueroa streets.

A 32-year-old man suspected of stealing a Sacramento Fire Department pickup truck on Saturday night was taken into custody after police shot pepper balls into the vehicle during a standoff in north Sacramento, police said.

Police said the Ford F-150 truck was reported stolen from Sacramento Fire Department Station 12 on 24th Street in the South Land Park area around 8:39 p.m.

  1. 0330. Inner city. Female cop. Apparently alone. Little to none SA.
    What could go wrong?

  2. Sounds like the opening scene to a thriller. Sure they weren't filming a movie?

    1. 12th & figueora seems a familiar cop show broadcast.Adam 12 went there at least a couple times.

  3. It'll be interesting to see the rap sheet for the perp who stole the police cruiser
