Those poor teens

Grief counselors were at Newberry High School in Florida all week after several teenagers were killed in a crash during a chase involving state troopers in Bradford County.

Newberry city officials said all four of the teenagers, who were between the ages of 14 and 16, died after they were involved in a wreck in the Waldo area last Saturday.

  1. FAFO in action. Sounds like this ended four promising future medical or legal professionals' lives. Or maybe not.

    1. Unfortunately, the vehicle's owner was dragged to death. This was a carjacking gone bad.

    2. “According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), a criminal investigation into the deadly incident is ongoing, which is why it has released a very limited amount of information. Typically FHP releases a preliminary basic report on fatal accidents, including where it happened, the ages, gender and hometown of vehicle occupants, and whether they were wearing seatbelts, but it has not released any of those specifics.”
      . . .
“According to an FHP release last Saturday, a state trooper joined the pursuit and ‘identified that some of the occupants appeared to be wearing ski masks.’ “

  8. At least their FAFI moment only included themselves. That said, won't be the least surprised if someone tries to bring suit against the police officer/police department. Last, had no idea police cruisers had speed governors.

    1. In about 1979, the Massachusetts State Troopers retired the Interceptors for Chevy Chevettes that could not break 80 MPH to save energy. Many speeders on the Mass. Turnpike would just flee the cops.

    1. But I guarantee that a bunch of those kids will play the PTSD/stress crap to try and get a passing grade without doing any schoolwork (not that they do much anyway).

  10. I would say that state trooper saved the state future money and court time. And opened up a couple bed in a penal institution.

  11. this is what "equality" gets you. the uncivil rights laws of 64 & 65 is what's destroying America today. btw, this is how every car jacking should end. how long before the "but they were good boys" start.

  13. I hope those ankle monitors can be reused. I can just imagine the comment when putting it on the next juvenile delinquent, "Yeah, the last one wearing this wasn't real bright and ended up dead. If you don't like this one, I have another just like it."

    1. nope. that is where you are wrong. when something like this happens. one of the first things done is blood test. if "clean" they get stripped of any and all organs they can save. saw this too many times at the HUP ER. or the hospital of Penn.
really, they do not waste any time getting them upstairs to strip the body of any worthwhile parts. liver, lungs, kidneys, you name it. it get ripped out and cross matched and on it's way to someone else. who will pay big bucks for the "part"
and if the family comes to take the body, they weigh it down to look "right"
back in the 1990's. I am sure they are still doing this today.
and remember they all John Doe's until the family says something.

  15. What a perfect time for schools to educate that crime does not pay and that criminals are a parisite in society. So what do they do? Oh, these po po boys. Then send grief counselors which convey to the students if you don't grieve then there is something wrong with you. Fuckin assholes. And yes, they were all black. At least 95% of the shootings, knifings, drivebys in Gainesville and surrounds are by blacks.

  19. I'm sure it was all just a misunderstanding. They mistook the stolen SUV for "reparations" and were wearing ski masks because they were on their way for some late-winter schussing down the Florida slopes. Those ankle monitors are actually a modern fashion accessory among certain cohorts of teens, worn in solidarity with the J6 protestors. As budding scientists, they were more familiar with the metric system than the antiquated English system of measures, and understandably mistook "111" on the speedometer for km per hour, which equates to a perfectly legal 68.97 mph.

    Y'all haters, yo.

  20. "Grief counselors" I believe all that is needed to be a grief counselor or any other kind of counselor for that matter is a college degree. Doesn't matter what that degree is, gender studies or black history will do. After that the courts will keep counselors busy with people needing counseling for anger management, drug addiction, alcohol, domestic violence, the list seems endless. Of course the people needing all this counseling also need to pay for it and a small percentage of the counselors may even pay back their student loans.

  22. The ironic thing is that the Waldo stretch of US 301 is a notorious speed trap. The speed limit goes from 65 to 35 in about a quarter of a mile and there is always a local cop sitting behind a building waiting to pull over unwary and, especially, out of state motorists.

  23. We didn't get grief counselors when I was in high school, back in the late 80s/early 90s.

In the span of about 2 weeks 4 people were killed in 3 unrelated traffic accidents. Basically we were all standing around going "Holy fuck!" and similar things, while planning the next weekend's booze fueled festivities.

To this day I remember one poor girl in total shock saying to everyone she talked to "Hey, what's up. My sister's dead." She died because she was on the back of a motorcycle driven by some total loser and he lost control exiting off a bridge at about twice the speed limit. Fucker didn't have a scratch on him and never really faced any consequences.
