VDH Commentary: The Disgrace and Fall of the American Elite Campus

Anti-Israel/pro-Hamas campus protests have engulfed hundreds of college campuses. But the more coastal, blue-state, and supposedly elite the campus was, the more furious the violence that sometimes followed these demonstrations.

Even rowdier and more vicious street analogs shut down key bridges, freeways, and religious services. Protestors often defaced hallowed American monuments, national cemeteries, and iconic buildings. Visa-holders were among the worst perpetrators, adding ingratitude to their criminality.

  1. I went to UCLA in the mid 70s and met my wife there. I am an Electrical Engineer but I have read that half of the present graduating Doctors are not qualified. It is sad to see how bad the colleges have gone.

  2. Organized by behind-the-scenes elderly progressives like Bill Ayers and Angelia Davis inciting 18 to 25 something brats who react like zombies in the Omega Man & Night of the Living Dead. The answer is they should be treated the same way. The grind them up and turn them into dog food. That's a win-win for the decent citizens and man's best friends.

  3. I recall a certain group being very proud of their role in promoting radical campus protests beginning in the 1960s. I also recall something about how the golem always eventually turning on its creator. Looks to me like what we're seeing now.

It would be nice if the purported sons of Isaac and Ishmael could keep their ceaseless squabbling in their own patch of dirt, it isn't really our problem as Americans.

As usual, VDH nails it with his comment about the so-called "elite students" being clueless about history, geography, or current affairs. How in the world can these youngsters support the Hamas killings and taking of hostages, many of which are the same age as the rioters? Just what did this Jewish kids do that deserved such a fate? If anything they should be protesting in their support, not in continuing this fiasco. And there is absolutely no excuse for the administrators and professors who should know damn better.
