Atlanta prosecutor is jailed for stealing $15m of Covid funds

The former assistant city attorney of Atlanta, who was also a life advice podcaster, has been jailed for seven years after fraudulently obtaining approximately $15 million in COVID relief loans.

Shelitha Robertson, 62, used the illegally gained funds to splash out on luxuries such as a 10 carat diamond ring, a Rolls Royce and a motorbike.

    1. More so, right along with that other baboon masquerading as the "chief judge." Nothing wrong with Atlanta that couldn't be fixed by another Sherman.

  5. It's my understanding that many people claimed and misused those covid funds. Many people went out and bought houses as investments (airbnb etc.) with the fraudulent money which helped to drive up the housing prices. I doubt many will get caught.

  10. So, in seven years (probably much less than that) she gets out. How much of that money was recovered? I suspect she'll be living large in a non-extradition treaty country shortly afterward.

  12. A writer, and I apologize for not remembering the name, said:
"It saddens me to know 250,000 Confederate soldiers died to prevent Atlanta from becoming what it is".
