A family in Texas says they went through quite the scare when recently visiting a wildlife center.
According to the Toten family, a giraffe accidentally picked their toddler up out of the bed of their truck when they were visiting the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center on June 1.
In the back of the truck? Was it the Clampetts?
ReplyDeleteHoly crap!!! I know that dude.
DeleteMost definitely Clampetts...the whole damn family
Update on the Clampetts...
DeleteShowed the clip to my mom (retired special ed. teacher)
Her quote..."Oh my gosh, his mom was one of my students"
You're obviously unfamiliar with the Southern custom of toting the kids around in the back of the truck. I rode all over my home state of Georgia and parts of five other states in the back of our family pickup - 1965 Chevrolet Stepside - during the 1970s.
DeleteMany years ago Thee Gud Wyfe gifted me with a photo safari at the San Diego Wild Animal Park. Riding in the back of trucks and feeding animals is cool. Rhinos slobber! Giraffes get real competitive going after carrots. One slung her head around and damn near knocked me out of the truck. Big heads!
ReplyDeleteThe monkeys stand for honesty
DeleteGiraffes are insincere
And the elephants are kindly but they're dumb
Orangutans are skeptical
Of changes in their cages
And the zookeeper is very fond of rum
Zebras are reactionaries
Antelopes are missionaries
Pigeons plot in secrecy
And hamsters turn on frequently...
Took my family there when the boys were little. Wildlife can get real aggressive about food sources.
ReplyDeleteInbreds doin’ what inbreds do. However, I bet the shyster lawyers were lined up outside their trailer when they got home.
ReplyDeleteWhat did you do over summer vacation? Fed my kid to a giraffe!
ReplyDeleteThe ostriches are the ones that scared me. Soulless things.
ReplyDeleteJust a quick FYI….
ReplyDeleteToten in German means
As a verb… to kill
As a Noun… the Dead
