Tractor Supply Issues Statement Pledging to ‘Eliminate DEI’ and Return to Conservative Tennessee Roots

The Tractor Supply company on Thursday issued a statement announcing it will “eliminate DEI roles” and take a series of other actions in response to the backlash which followed recent reporting about the company’s commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI).

The Tractor Supply statement, posted to social media, explained, “We work hard to live up to our Mission and Values every day and represent the values of the communities and customers we serve.”

The company continued, “We have heard from customers that we have disappointed them. We have taken this feedback to heart.”

    1. Yeah, until they fire Hal Lawton and Melissa Kersey and anyone who thought hiring them was a good idea (and any other employees associated with either of them) then they haven't really done anything to change the corporate culture.

Sell your TS stock, they are gonna crash like Bud Light.

  2. Did you heard about the blue and magenta haired tyranny that walked into the Tractor supply store? Hell no you didn't...whoever suggested this stupid shit for TS should be castrated with current store implements, then fired.

  3. I was actually heading out to Ace Hardware this AM to do some shopping, but after reading this I am certainly re-routing my course to shop at "Tractor Supply"... Amen!

  4. These guys must be very isolated. They hadn't learned from what happened to other companies. And they sure don't know their customer demographics.

    1. Apparently they do know if they're publicly reversing their policies.

    2. Apparently they were clueless, otherwise they would not have implemented this faggot shit in the first place. Their customers had to tell them no; blatant rope suckers aren't what this demographic accepts.

    3. Time will tell how genuine their reversal. This public apology is damage control seeking appeasement.

  5. I've had to travel a little further to get cow and chicken feed. When Tractor Supply went queer I was like chuck you farley.

  6. They pledged nothing.
Buried in their statement is this little gem:

-We will review and consider revising our current DEI goals while still ensuring a respectful environment.-

Review and consider does not mean they're ending it.
They'll wind up playing the mea-culpa card, wait for the heat to die down, then go back to the same old crap.

    1. Exactly. TSC is just another mega corporation doing what their financiers tell them to. "reversing course" just in time for fair season. Give it six months and a guarantee trannies will be dancing on the stock tanks again.

      Boycott.

  7. I wasn't going to boycott them anyway, cheap propane & the best birdseed variety out of any other stores, deer corn & salt licks too.

  8. They only "stopped" because they got exposed and got bad publicity. The communist who believe and implemented these polices still work there. Now they will simply do it more clandestinely. Boycott these fuckers. Patronize your local hardware store.

  9. My take, FWIW, is that someone slapped the shit out of the CEO and pointed out the folly of pissing off your key demographic. What's surprising is that it was just the shit slapped as opposed to getting his ass kicked out... along with the carpet muncher.

  10. Economicly crush them, too late, guys.
The knew what they were doing, they knew their demographic, and--as only a leftist can--thought it would not effect them. FAFO. No economic mercy. Crush them.

  11. I missed the whole fiasco. TSC from way back but haven't been working my property in a while so no need to stop in. BTW, get your jeans there. Cost anywhere from $14.99 (on sale) to $18.99. Not quite "as nice as" Levi's but twice the value and quality.

Seems odd to alienate your customer base. Guess once Kid Rock went back to butt chugging and deep throating Bud "Mulvaney" Light jizz juice, they thought they were in the clear.

  12. This DEI stuff was universal for a while--every major corporation was into it. As another commentor said, the bankers, board members, NGOs, suppliers and customers all pushed this. It feels like the pendulum is swinging back.

    1. Exactly. People got real tired of catering to a minority real quick.

  15. Too little, too late. Takes time and effort to build a customer base. Takes just a moment to run them off

  16. TSC is constantly hiring (red flag / constant turnover) and refuses to post their wages (red flag / low wages). TSC employees on Reddit indicate they are paid between $12-14/hr across all retail positions; screw TSC on that alone. I wanted to know the base wage, and if it was worth my time to apply, well, it's not. I didn't know about this DEI garbage until now, looks like I may avoid taking my $$ there.

    1. The turnover must be a result of shitty managers in your area. The TSC here in town has most of the same employees they had when I moved here over 8 years ago.
And yes, I shop TSC because the 2 hardware stores here don't carry some of the items I need, and there's no way in hell I'm driving 30 miles to Gallatin to buy it from a big box store that has the exact same DEI policies that y'all are bitching about.

  17. Dang Nab It! I am in prosses to move into a nice farm and TSC is the closest. Well, down the road the other way.
