Divorce may have been the better choice

RAY TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Matthew Louis Mollicone was sentenced for his May 2024 conviction, where he was found guilty by a Macomb County jury for the death of his wife during a shooting with another man after an eight-day jury trial.

Mollicone and his wife drove to a residence in Ray Township on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, to advise the victim who his wife was in contact with to stop contacting his wife.

    1. Yep. Hired a PI who caught my (then) wife in the act. Although I lost half of everything, yes, she also got the kids, it still saved a lot of money for me. In the end, she knew she made a horrible mistake.

  2. Very confusing article. 'Victim' seemed to refer both to deadwife and dude in garage? Either way, bad idea. Just block them.

    1. Yes, very confusing. If you read some of the comments at the end we're not the only ones. There's also a picture of the writer at the end. Surprise.

  3. My fertile mind went to work after seeing this story and resulted in a scenario only I could forment: Wifey set up a dude she didn't even know by instigating a brief strictly text message sex relationship with him. Then leaked the name and address info to hubby, Hubby flipped, shootout ensued, resulting in hubby going to jail. In the meantime, she sells house for big bucks and her real longtime lover a next-door neighbor leave Missouri and settle into "The Villages" near Orlando, Fla. I love a happy ending.

A man later identified as Matthew Mollicone also placed a 911 call during the shootout. In the audio recording, Mollicone can be heard telling the dispatcher that a man “came out of his house and shot my wife.”
“Send an ambulance now. My wife’s been shot. She’s unresponsive,” a frantic Matthew can be heard saying.
The 36-year-old male was initially taken into custody but later released without being charged.
So-the guy who was diddling the wife on the side, got away with murdering her??

  6. It sounds like the wife was killed by accident - lots of bullets flying about. Cheating risks pushing people to do what they wouldn't believe themselves capable of.

  7. First off, I think this article was written by an AI, but the picture used for the "journalist" was chosen so that any complaints about how badly the article was written would be blamed on racism.

For clarity, don't use "victim" and "defendant". Use the actual names of the people involved. I couldn't tell if "defendant" was Mollicone or the person who was defending himself from Mollicone. I think "victim" meant Mollicone's wife, but maybe it meant the person he was shooting at?

Was Mollicone charged because bullets from his gun were found in his wife? Or was he charged because a death occurred while a crime was being committed with a gun? What about the guy he was shooting at? Was he charged with anything?
