Save Mart's a fairly large supermarket chain in the Central Valley of California, starting in Modesto back in the 1950s. There was a store located just a few blocks from my house back in the 1990s, so that's where I did 90% of my grocery shopping.
Save Mart is where I do all my shopping. I go in about once a month when they open at 6 am on Sunday and spend between two and three hundred dollars to keep the freezer tanked up. My local store is only about 40 miles from the distribution center that's closing so hopefully my store won't be affected too much. Fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteTell me they’re not going to make it a “unfuckinghomed” center thereby busting my tax dollars even harder.
ReplyDeleteDon’t worry. Khameltoe gonna fix dat.
ReplyDeleteYou would think that with all of the price gouging going on in the grocery business they could afford to keep it open /sarc.
ReplyDeleteSave Mart has sold twice in the past several years. Family owned until the first sale. They have/had a distribution center in Merced about 25 years ago but I don't know if it is still opened. Lot's of deadweight management back then.
