Your Wednesday Morning Florida Report

It's after midnight when the windshield fogs up on Thomas Aycock's F-250 pickup truck. He flashes a low smile as he slowly maneuvers through the sawgrass, down dirt roads deep in the Florida Everglades.

His windshield just confirmed it: When the dew point drops in the dead of the night, it's prime time for pythons.

  1. If they were really serious about eliminating the invasive species like the pythons and iguanas, they would drop the requirement for them to be killed humanely.

  2. Thing I don't get about this is
    1. If Florida is trying to eliminate the snakes, why should they care if they're "humanely" killed? It'd be more efficient (and safer) for hunters to shoot them.
    2. Why doesn't Florida just allow year long hunting (IDK. Do they?)

    1. It's about the money.
We have a nutria problem in Louisiana and the state pays $5 a tail on them.. BUT you have to pay for the license and jump through loops to get that $5... It's just cheaper to shoot the mutherfuckers when you see them and leave them there.

  3. I watched a video of Florida state biologists search for pythons. They found a large female with a large clutch of eggs. They tagged her then put her back. They let the eggs hatch.

  4. Why the 'humanely killed' thingy? Because of leftards in Broward County and whOrlando, that's why. Same assholes that almost brought us Al Gore in 2000.

  5. Yeah, well get serious and quit pissing on our boots and telling us it’s raining. Either you want them gone or you really enjoy the attention.
