California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed several gun control measures Tuesday, including one that allows the court to consider stalking and animal cruelty as grounds to restrict access to firearms.
The state already has some of the strictest gun laws in the country. The new laws signed by Newsom will expand restrictions on who could own firearms, prevent the proliferation of “ghost guns” and increase protections for domestic violence survivors.
Ya mean after nigh twenty yrs of tough restrictions on 'ghost guns' they still persist, indeed, they proliferate?
ReplyDeleteNah, unpossible.
And eventually a court will rule these as unconstitutional. But in the interim these bills will be used to abuse people. Then when they are overturned the process starts again. Because there is no punishment, no consequences for politicians who do this.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad California has all these laws and enforces them. That's why I, as a white man, feel safe to walk the streets of Oakland.
ReplyDeleteSoon we'll ALL be "prohibited persons". That's the idea... Drip, drip, drip....
ReplyDeleteIn a few years they’ll pass a law declaring hunting and fishing to be animal cruelty, and then red-flag everyone who ever held a hunting for fishing license.
ReplyDeleteOregon just banned unserialized firearms. You're supposed to have an FFL/gunsmith serialize them and report the info to the feds. Can't wait to see what the compliance rate is.
ReplyDeleteHe's welcome to talk to the hand...
