Could California become the first US state to regulate airline emissions?

California is split over a proposal to become the first U.S. state to regulate airline emissions.

The state has already led the country in regulating emissions of car pollution.

State Senator Henry Stern sits on the California Air Resources Board (CARB). CARB determines what to include in the state's newest low-carbon fuel standards and newest protections against pollution.

  1. Democracy can regulate anything they desire. It is what they say it is. Recently they decided to regulate the freedom of speech of their democratic slaves. These folks better get busy building a border wall or there wont be anyone left there to tax.

  2. Never forget the car emissions. California started it and the rest of the country eventually had to follow because Ford, GM and Chrysler were afraid to buck the government. Personally, I think the only flying machines allowed should be dirigibles.

  3. Well if they really want to get serious, they need to outlaw refried beans so as to cut down on the two legged emissions…

  5. They'll need to make sure that the new regulations only apply to aircraft carrying more than 15 people. Just to make sure it doesn't impact Taylor Swift or Nancy Pelosi.
